Bring the family to Port Arthur and join in our fun and educational family activities such as convict brick making
Visit the Education Centre and try your hand at traditional crafts,
design work and trades. Make your own peg doll or replica convict brick.
Learn about early animation by assembling a fantascope or design and
create your own convict love token. Challenge your friends and family to
game of quoits, croquet or knuckle bones.
Activities are offered in two sessions each day – 12-1:30pm and
2-3pm. Check the information board downstairs in the Visitor Centre for
daily activities.

Join us to experience a variety of character sketch performances, 20
minutes in duration, which will be offered around the restored
Penitentiary. Each is based on an historical character from Port Arthur
and describes their lives in the settlement. Access to these is included
in the cost of in Site entry.
