This small island was the final resting place for more than 1000
convicts, military and civil officers, women and children who were
buried here between 1833 and 1877. Discover some of their stories on
this fascinating guided walking tour. Tours to the Isle of the Dead
depart several times daily.

Three thousand boys, some as young as nine years old, were sentenced
to Point Puer Boys’ Prison between 1834 and 1849, the first reformatory
built exclusively for juvenile male convicts in the British Empire.
Point Puer Boy’s Prison Tours are currently departing at 1.40pm daily.
